The Ohio Valley Civil War Association's purpose is to educate the public concerning the American Civil War era through presentations

of living history events, parades, encampments, drill sessions, and reenactments of battles of the American Civil War, the display of American Civil War era artifacts and reproducitons of such artifacts and the dissemination of information concerning the war through lectures and printed materials; to preserve the artifacts of the American Civil War era; to honor the men and women who served in the American Civil War.
